DESCRIPTION: Rogue was on his way to be euthanized a year ago when I was called to see if I would take him in to which I agreed to temporarily foster him. Prior to him coming into my care, he was a client of mine that completed a 3 week board and train to work on his reactivity towards people and other dogs. During the program Rogue made lots of progress with his reactivity and was sent home with very specific instructions. Prior to coming into my care he had bitten two people, the second bite did require stitches and was the reason for the owners deciding on behavioral euthanasia ( both bites happened at doorways when unknown people entered the home Since being in my care he has been successfully introduced to strangers and has been coexisting with other dogs.
Rogue would do best in a home with no children and no other dogs. He has been fine around respectful children and tolerates my dogs but due to his history, I wouldnt recommend him living with either but may be open to it for the right circumstance.
Rogue is muzzle trained. Knows heel, sit, down, place, stay, and come; all commands are known on and off leash. He is a dog that is completely fine with relaxing all day (loves to curl up on the couch beside you hanging outside while you do yard work, or going on adventures. He has been to lots of pet friendly stores and parks.
REASON FOR REHOMING: He deserves to be in a home with someone that has a lifestyle he can thrive in. I have 3 dogs of my own, I foster from time to time, and I do have clients dogs that will stay with me. I also have an 8 month old child that is becoming more mobile and given his history with his previous home, boundaries were being pushed causing him to become less tolerant of children.
REHOMING FEE: None, but he will only go to a home that is best suited for him.
