Upon reflection I didn't think my previous post did justice to Fessick. So here is a more accurate description of the boy. Future World Leader
Meet Fessick. He is available to the right home. Emphasis on right and possibly brave.
I did not create this tiny overlord. Im a service dog trainer (40+ years and one of my clients purchased a sweet standard poodle for service work. You guessed it. She was pregnant. Dad is some kind of doodle.
I raised the litter, and I kept Fessick back thinking he might be service dog material.
At 14 weeks, it has become very clear:
Fessick would like to be in charge of the service. Possibly the household. Potentially the planet.
He is brilliant, sassy, busy, and hilarious. Loves treats. He knows exactly how cute he is, and weaponizes his adorableness.
Fessick is also mildly convinced he knows better than you. He will do what you ask, but he will woo-woo his strongly worded opinions about it the entire time. Confident to the point of questionable life choices.
As far as training, Fessick is pretty good with housebreaking as long as let out regularly. Crate trained. Started on sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking. Fes knows the word "No Sometimes he even modifies his behavior when he hears it (and he hears it a lot
Fessick requires a firm, fair, and humane handler who understands that structure is not optionalit is mandatory for preventing a full-scale canine coup. PO/FF training isn't an option. He will immediately begin plotting household - if not world - domination.
Suitable home:
He is not a beginner dog.
He is not a couch potato.
He needs someone who enjoys a challenge
Someone who appreciates humor and sass.
Someone prepared to set boundaries and enforce them.
Someone who has a job in mind for Fessick that will stimulate his body and mind daily.
If you have another dog, they must either:
Correct him appropriately, or be emotionally prepared to be lovingly harassed forever.

He is best suited for:
Dog sports (agility, rally, scent work, dock diving)
Hiking the Appalachian trail.
If trained correctly, he will be exceptional.
