They dont usually dig/root They can live solely on grass Dual purpose breed (they eat grass/pig weed) great for food as well and good lard. They can make good pets, they are happiest with a buddy of the same species. They take a little longer to reach butcher weight but when they do, yummy the sweetest pig Ive ever had.
