He's got a playful, affectionate personality and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Like many dogs of his breed, Clyde has a bit of a herding instinct-he may try to "organize" people or pets with a gentle nudge and can be a little mouthy when he's exeited. It's not aggressive, just part of his natural behavior and totally manageable with a bit of structure and redirection. Let us know if you'd like to meet him, he lives at Must Love Dogs! We are a Daycare & Boarding facility which occasionally has dogs abandoned on us. We have had owners just simply never come back to pick up their dog, we have had dogs left by our front door while we are not open, and we have had customers who just found a dog in the road and brought them to us. While we do not hope to have this happen often, we prefer to rehome them ourselves over bringing them to a kill shelter. Unfortunately most of our customers are already wonderful pet parents with a full family to care for, so it would be a huge help to have these sweet dogs listed on a high traffic site such as yours. Thank you for your consideration. Thankfully we have only run into 2 dogs so far that were unaltered. One was a 5 month old Dalmatian, which was very easy to find a home for. His new owner had him altered a few months later at their own expense. The second is a young frenchie that we just received recently. I suppose if a dog stayed with us for an extended length of time we would start a go fund me and have them altered, just as we did for a blue heeler that was heartworm positive. When we receive a dog which we do not know their history they go to the vet that has the quickest availability. We get them vaccinated, dewormed, and an exam. Then they will be quarantined for 14 days. After the quarantine period ends we introduce them to a variety of dogs, depending on how the interactions go we write their profile and post them on our facebook and add them to our adoptable dogs on our monthly email blast. It would be amazing if we could host them on a high traffic site such as yours. Must Love Dogs is a home away from home for dogs, providing daycare & boarding services. On rare occasions owners do not return to pick up their dog. Instead of sending our heartbroken & confused friends to kill shelters, we will foster them until they can have a safe & comfy place to call their own.
